Job Description

Designation: Associate/ Senior Associate - QC (CLM)

Experience (years): 3+ yrs

No: of vacancies: 2

Location: Hybrid / Work from home

Workdays: Monday to Friday

Work timing: 9 am to 6pm

Immediate Joining is preferred

Responsibilities: 

  • Review, analyse and extract key information from the contracts  per the instructions provided and accurately populate multiple data entry fields with the information. 
  • Interpreting the contractual clauses and summarising contractual provisions  
  • Clear understanding of client requirements and objectives 
  • Quality check of client deliverables  ensuring it meets the client requirements and LegalEase quality standards. 
  • Creating / vetting checklists and playbooks for the review team based on client requirements. 
  • Critical thinking through the work process to identify improvements and reengineer the process if required 
  • Train/coach the review team on contracts/client instructions 

Basic training will be provided but a lot of self-learning and hard work would be required to scale up.

Roles:

  • To ensure that all the information they handle is secure.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to follow all the information security policies, procedures, rules and regulations as stipulated in the manuals.
  • Responsible to take immediate action to prevent any undesirable situations and report to the officers.
  • Responsible to take part in their assigned role in the event of an emergency situation.

Authority

  • To report any security incident or weaknesses, which comes to their knowledge.

Contract Staff

  • Responsible to follow the rules and regulations and move within the area specified.
  • Responsible to obey the instructions for all the officers and staff regarding the work and in emergency situations.

Responsible to report any undesirable incidents.

Skills

Candidate Profile

Basic Qualifications:  

  • LL. B/LL.M degree from an approved law school 
  • Applicants should be interested in technology and have a general understanding of as many areas of law as possible. 
  • Sound knowledge of contract clauses and law of contracts 
  • Fast learner, proactive thinker, should have eye for detail. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Mind set to work on non-legal work and support services as required 
  • MS Office - Word, Excel, Google Sheets & Outlook (experience on online products is a plus) 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of people in multiple locations across geographies. 

Desired Qualifications:  

  • One year experience with any corporate or LPO doing similar or related work   
  • Experience working with CLM Platforms. 
  • Experience managing/ training a small team.
